From the beginning, magic was brewing...

• 1986-Kevin Parker is born in Perth, Australia.
• 2006-Kevin Parker played in various bands, mostly playing guitar/bass.
• 2007-Parker begins recording music himself in his home garage (drums, guitar, bass, keyboard etc).
• 2008-Parker lands a record deal with Modular Recordings as Tame Impala. Releases self titled EP, that achieved number 1 in Australia
• 2009-Tame Impala begins touring Australia with a live band to support. The project's success shines through ticket sales.
• 2009-2010-The live band tours Europe and performs in many festivals like Big Day Out, Southband Festival, Falls Festival, and several others.
• 2010-Parker releases first LP, Innerspeaker. It went number one in Australia.
• 2012-Parker releases second LP, Lonerism. The album becomes his first big hit in the United States and United Kingdom.
• 2015-Parker rleases third LP, Currents. The album becomes an instant classic and becomes his first number 1 on Billboard.
• 2020-Parker releases fourth LP, The Slow Rush.The album did well despite being released during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• 2021-2022-The live band tours around the world for the first time. The band perfomed during many festivals, including Coachella. They also did theater and arena perfomances with no opening acts.
